Let me begin by clearing the air on my title and saying that Cocotte and Nando’s have only one thing in coming and that is chicken. Otherwise, Cocotte couldn’t be further apart from the high street South African chain every Londoner is all too familiar with.
Cocotte is a trendy new restaurant on Werbourne Grove in Notting Hill, serving up piping hot rotisserie chicken as if it was home made. The sides are mostly delicious healthy greens, although we couldn’t miss the truffle mac and cheese while there!
The French owner started Cocotte after a career with several other restaurants. He’s also equipped with experience from his family’s restaurant in Lyon, France. His story and presence on the restaurant floor each day brings authenticity to the place – further strenghtened by all the French “Bobo” crowds filling up the restaurant.
It feels homely, healthy and warm. A great addition to this side of Westbourne Grove!
